Long itinerary to El Far, one of the most important viewpoints of La Garrotxa, which, despite the great unevenness, is done smoothly and without much effort.

Start from the old Sant Feliu de Pallerols railway station, today a Tourist Information Office, and continue along the route shared with Trail 22 until you have passed the Font Perera stream. You will come out on the road called Carretera del Grèvol (Holly Road). Continue along this road as it climbs upwards.

The road passes the Grèvol house and then bends to the right. Continue climbing, crossing the old path from Les Planes d'Hostoles to La Salut. At the crossroads, turn to the right to Masnou house.

Once you have come out on the C-153 road, continue climbing on the left-hand side of the road. Leave the road at the first bend.

You will pass by the rock shelf called Lleixa de Clarà, also called Lleixa del Ginebrar, because of the large number of juniper trees that used to grow on it. From here, you will start to climb a long, gentle slope along the edge of a bluff. Continue along the edge until you reach the flat area called Pla de Malla. Here, turn to the right and continue until you reach the tarmacked road, at Coll de Malla.
Here, you will find the road that, to the right, comes from the Coll de Condreu and, to the left, goes to the Far. Walk on the left-hand side of the tarmacked road toward the Far Sanctuary. There follows a long stretch along the flat Pla del Far, passing beside the chapel of Santa Anna. Shortly before arriving at the shrine, you can take a short cut along the cliff edge to save following the road.

From the Far Shrine, you can enjoy fabulous views that take in a large part of Catalonia.

Return along the same route to go back to Sant Feliu de Pallerols.
