A viewpoint over la Vall d'en Bas and la Garrotxa. Route 3 Garrotxa

This is a demanding route as it gains height quickly over a short distance. However, it provides for wonderful views of two singular sites: the impressive waterfall of Salt del Sallent, at its best after heavy rain, and the chapel of Santa Magdalena.

The Churches of el Corb route. Route 4 Les Preses

Sant Miquel del Corb and Sant Martí del Corb, two of the best-kept secrets of the Romanesque heritage of La Garrotxa.

From Sadernes to Santa Bàrbara. Ruta 1 Alta Garrotxa

On clear days on certain stretches of this walk you can look eastwards and enjoy the views that extend right across the Empordà plain as far as the Mediterranean Sea.

Route Ribelles and Sant Aniol (from Hostal de la Muga)

The church of Sant Julià de Ribelles is Romanesque and was consecrated in 947. Sant Aniol d’Aguja dates from the High Middle Ages and was a Benedictine monastery before being transformed into a parish church and sanctuary.

Bestracà and Sant Miquel d'Hortmoier route

Beautiful route to the valley of Hortmoier, one of the quietest in the Alta Garrotxa, wet all year round, surrounded by cliffs.

El Santuari de Santa Maria de Finestres i el poblat ibèric de la Palomera. Ruta 8 Garrotxa

This path will allow us to reach one of the best viewpoints in La Garrotxa, an Iberian village and a postcard hermitage.

The carline trail. Ruta 6 Garrotxa

This route is designed for one-way and you must provide for the return from Riudaura by public transport or car.

Across the Collsacabra plateau. Route 4 Garrotxa

This route follows part of the old ‘Royal Road’, a medieval trail joining these two cities that was probably paved to be able to transport timber to Barcelona to construct a fleet for the king.

The charcoal makers and bac route. Route 3 Mieres

This route is an agreeable stroll through the shady woods of Clot Mal, a stream that runs down from the western side of the slopes around the church of Freixe.

La Devesa and Caxurma caves. Route 1 Montagut i Oix

Baumes de Caxurma are a series of natural caves formed in the sedimentary rocks that lie to the south of the basalt cliffs of Castellfollit de la Roca. The largest cave is around 400 m in length.

Sant Pere Sacosta. Route 1 Les Planes d'Hostoles

The parish of Sant Pere Sacosta has the privilege of being one of the oldest and most remote inhabited villages of la Vall de Hostoles. Located on the slopes of la Serra del Puig del Moro, on the north ridge of el Far and below el Coll de Condreu.

The two castles route. Route 6 Santa Pau

anta Pau Castle stands in the middle of the village of Santa Pau, which was once enclosed by a series of walls and fortifications. In the fifteenth century, a ‘new’ quarter was built at the entrance to the gate that provides access to the arched squares.

Els Comuns. Route 1 Tortellà

The route takes us to the Comuns quarry, a stone extraction site that used to build the Olot motorway to Besalú. The mining activity was stopped in 2010 and is currently under restoration.

El Mont from Segueró route. Ruta 4 Beuda

Route of 6.4 km the church of the Sanctuary of late Romanesque style, from the beginning of the 14th century.

GR 2 - La Jonquera to Aiguafreda

This GR runs from La Jonquera to Aiguafreda through medieval towns and villages such as Besalú and Santa Pau, and natural protected areas including La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone and Montseny natural parks, and the Collsacabra, Savassona and Tavertet Cliffs.

Sant Feliu de Pallerols, Sant Marc and Puig Roig volcanoes. Natural Park route 22

Short itinerary that gives us the possibility of knowing the two volcanoes closest to Sant Feliu de Pallerols and at the same time further away from the central core of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa.

The basalt cliff of Castellfollit de la Roca

Castellfollit de la Roca sits atop a basalt cliff formed by two overlapping lava flows. Along the route, you will be given an up-close view of a basalt cliff that is spectacular not only because of its height, but also the houses built right on its edge.

Volcano Racó and el Parc Nou. Route 5 Olot

Once you leave the built-up centre of Olot it takes but a few minutes to reach the marshy woods of La Moixina. From here, you can walk through the beeches that form part of the final reaches of the forest of Fageda d’en Jordà
