The route connects the Can Blanc district with the car park of the Area of Santa Margarida, passing the Area of Can Serra (Fageda d'en Jordà) and Can Xel.
The starting point of the cycling route is in Olot, at the beginning of the Triai road, right at the junction of this road with Avinguda de Sant Jordi d'Olot, right next to the park of the Mores (park located not far from the start of the Carrilet cycle path, which can be reached via an urban cycle path).
During the first section, the cycle path runs along a paved neighborhood road with very little traffic. After a short but somewhat steep ramp, the path turns left in the direction of Sant Cristòfol de les Fonts, passing behind it.
After crossing an asphalt track, the path climbs through forests and agricultural fields until reaching the Santa Pau road, where there is a traffic light to cross it safely. From that point, the cycling route runs parallel to the Santa Pau road, passing through the Can Blanc neighborhood, the Fageda d'en Jordà (Can Serra) car park and La Cot, to finally reach the Santa Margarida area.
The path is signposted, and during part of the route it has the characteristics of a greenway (width, gradient...), so it is fully suitable for the circulation of touring bicycles, and logically also for trips to foot between Olot and the central area of the Natural Park, as well as between the two main car parks in the central area of the Natural Park.
This route is signposted as "Itinerari cicloturístic Olot - Santa Pau - Mieres".
