Sales de Llierca, situated in the Alta Garrotxa plain, is made up of the settlements of Gitarriu, Sadernes and Sant Grau d'Entreperes and Sant Miquel de Monteia.
It has many noteworthy Romanesque churches, such as the parish churches of Sant Martí, Santa Cecília de Sadernes, Sant Grau d'Entreperes, Sant Andreu de Gitarriu and Sant Miquel de Monteia.It is also worth mentioning Sales castle and two of the best known caves in the Alta Garrotxa: the Bishop's cave and the Hermits' cave.
