- The period of regulation of motorized access to the Sadernes forest track begins
Restricted motorized access will run from March 12 to November 2, inclusive. The closure will be effective 24 hours a day, every day of the week.
Next Friday, March 12, the Consorci de l'Alta Garrotxa will begin, once again, the regulation of motorized access to the forest track of Sadernes. The regulation will be permanent 24 hours a day, every day of the week, and will last until November 2. The closure will be carried out through appropriate information signage, so that users are aware of the restriction of passage.
This regulation is based on the application of Decree 166/98 regulating motorized access to the natural environment. Based on this Decree, only authorized vehicles will be able to access the area, while other users will have to park the vehicle in the Sadernes car park.
In addition, during the busiest time, an Information Service will be set up to attend to visitors, as well as a rural guard service.
Both regulation and these complementary services must make it easier for users of the space to enjoy a satisfying experience, and on the other hand, preserve the natural values of the space.
The Consortium is working to have alternative measures in case of repeated episodes of overcrowding and congestion of the road network produced last summer. These incidents, in addition to compromising the conservation of the natural values of the natural space and producing conflicts with the territory, can put at risk both the inhabitants and the visitors of the space, since they can prevent the passage of the emergency services. if necessary.
