On Saturday 22 April at 9am, Rumbus, the new bus service operated by Teisa, will start running, providing direct connectivity to the municipalities of Les Preses, Olot and Santa Pau.

With Rumbus, residents and visitors will go from having 4 daily circulations in each direction between Santa Pau and Olot some weekends a year, to up to 16 daily circulations in each direction through a line that will run every weekend, bank holidays and public holidays all year round, and also during the summer months.

Rumbus will have a high frequency of passage: one bus every hour, and on the busiest days there will be a bus every half hour.

The bus will take the route from Les Preses through the center of Olot and through the central area of the Natural Park, and will reach the center of Santa Pau, where it will start the reverse route.

You can catch the bus at any of the 13 stops and, if you arrive by private vehicle, you can park in the three main free parking areas: the Santa Pau one, located next to the municipality's tourism office , that of Olot, located in Ronda de les Fonts, and that of the Les Preses visitor reception area.

To use this bus you can purchase a single ticket, which will allow, for €2, to make an unlimited number of trips throughout the day and thus discover, at your own pace, all the attractions of the central area of the Natural Park of the Garrotxa Volcanic Zone, and you can also use the integrated mobility cards of the Girona ATM. The single ticket can be purchased in advance on the Teisa website, and can also be purchased on the bus on the same day.

The Taula de Mobilitat Turística de la Garrotxa has worked to make Rumbus a cheaper, more practical and more sustainable alternative to private vehicles to travel between Les Preses, Olot and Santa Pau.

This initiative, aligned with the strategy of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism 2021-2025 and the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS), aims to offer the population a sustainable, efficient and environmentally friendly mobility, and is the result of cooperative work between all the agents involved in this table, including the Regional Council of la Garrotxa, Turisme Garrotxa, the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of la Garrotxa, the Consorci de l'Alta Garrotxa and the town councils of Les Dams, Olot and Santa Pau.

Rumbus has been possible thanks to the funding of the Generalitat de Catalunya and the Department of Territory as well as the Regional Council of the Garrotxa through the funding of Tourism Sustainability Plans in Destinations (Next Generation European funds).
