From now on, visitors to Castellfollit de la Roca will be able to learn about the geological heritage of the municipality in an innovative and immersive way thanks to the new augmented reality game “Els amics de la cinglera basàltica”.

This project, developed by ToscaGarrotxa and SomExperiències, has been possible thanks to the support of the Department of Culture of the Generalitat de Catalunya and aims to bring the history and formation of the basalt cliff closer to an audience of all ages through technology and gamification.

The participants of this interactive adventure will be guided by Roc, an avatar inspired by a volcanic rock, who will accompany them on a georeferenced tour of the town. Along the way, they will have to overcome challenges such as collecting and basketing volcanic rocks or answering questions about the geological formation of the area to unlock new discoveries.
