In this edition, 15 establishments in the region have prepared special menus where tradition, volcanic cuisine and seasonal flavors go hand in hand.
From November 14 to 30, La Garrotxa will once again be the setting for the Mostra Gastronòmica, an essential event for lovers of good food and local products. In this edition, 15 establishments in the region have prepared special menus where tradition, volcanic cuisine and seasonal flavors go hand in hand.
Each establishment will offer a menu that reflects the essence of the territory and the season, with the choice of a dish that represents it. Among the proposals, we find the wild boar stewed with chestnuts from Arcada de Fares, the snails marinated in our style from Ca la Carmelita, or the pork cheek in red wine with chestnuts from La Perla d'Olot. This variety allows you to explore the best of local cuisine and local ingredients.
This year, the Mostra is complemented by a series of activities to expand the gastronomic experience in the region. This is an opportunity to experience gastronomy in a different way, with activities such as:
- Magical dinner at La Quinta Justa (Olot) – Magician Nani will surprise diners with tricks at the end of dinner. (Friday November 15, 9 p.m.)
- Gastronomic film night at L’Equilibri (Olot) – Dinner inspired by the film Chocolat, with its screening included. (Saturday November 16, 8 p.m.)
- Tasting of Catalan cheeses and natural wines at the Hostal del Sol (Olot) - An ideal pairing for lovers of authentic cheeses and wines. (Wednesday 20 November, 8.30pm)
- Dinner and dancing at Sala Ignia in the Arcade of Fares (Fares) – An evening with Blue Moon to close the Exhibition with good music and good food. (Saturday, November 30, 9 p.m.)
- Volcanic cuisine vs Catalan cuisine. Combination of tradition and modernity by the Hostal dels Ossos i Can Xel (Olot) - Cooking demonstration as part of the Orígens Fair (Saturday 23 November, 7.00pm)
- Tapas and natural wines at La Perla (Olot) - Tapas dinner with natural wine list (Fridays 22 and 29 November)
With this Show, the guild seeks to promote and highlight the gastronomic sector of Garrotxa, a region that stands out for its culinary tradition and the richness of its local products.
