The Lava Flows

The volcanoes that erupted thousands of years ago in what today is La Garrotxa region gave rise to great lava flows that occupied the bottoms of the local river valleys.
Third carlinada route. Route 3 Argelaguer

In summer 1873 the Carlines besieged Argelaguer and killed the local councillor Sebastià Costa. This route will take you to the sites of some of the episodes of the final Carline War.
Pools surrounded by history

Les Planes d’Hostoles is famous for its pools, but also for having been an important site during the Remença revolt.
Healthy itinerary Sant Ferriol short hike

This route will take us through a mosaic of landscapes formed by fields and holm oak forests, in Sant Ferriol, right next to Besalú.
El Castellot de Beuda route. Route 1 Beuda

A fairly affordable route to Castellot, an old watch building 220 meters above Beuda.
Memories of the last Carlist War

This route visits some of the sites in La Garrotxa that are indelibly associated with the Third Carline War (1872–1876).
Sadernes - Sant Aniol d'Aguja. Route 1 Consorci Alta Garrotxa

Classic hiking trail to the hermitage of Sant Aniol d'Aguja. Keep in mind that the route goes through an abrupt and wooded area without any type of services, sources, or mobile coverage.
The charcoal makers and bac route. Route 3 Mieres

This route is an agreeable stroll through the shady woods of Clot Mal, a stream that runs down from the western side of the slopes around the church of Freixe.
