This route visits the factories, canals, chimneys and other relics that provide a reminder of the industrial past of La Garrotxa.
This route follows some of the old paths and trails used to bring wood charcoal down from the Serra de Finestres. The path that passes by Font Ricard is an attractive mule trail that connects the hamlet of Ruïtlles to the church of El Freixe.
The intense summer heat is an incentive to search for places to cool off, places where you can rest and at the same time get to know some of the other delights of La Garrotxa.
The church of Sant Julià de Ribelles is Romanesque and was consecrated in 947. Sant Aniol d’Aguja dates from the High Middle Ages and was a Benedictine monastery before being transformed into a parish church and sanctuary.
This route will take us through a mosaic of landscapes formed by fields and holm oak forests, in Sant Ferriol, right next to Besalú.
A tough and demanding route for some of the steepest places in Alta Garrotxa.
The Rocalba cliff is an excellent viewpoint over Sant Feliu de Pallerols. The holm and downy oaks take over the forest, but one can also find other species that grow randomly like poplars, willows, chestnuts and cherry trees.
This route takes you to three natural springs that the people from Santa Pau have cared for and tended for many years.This walk also links to the route that visits some of the local bathing pools.
