Torre de Murrià is a Roman watchtower that was converted into a signalling tower during the Carline Wars. It is reasonably well conserved and its moat and walls can still be seen.
A route to discover by bike the plain located between Castellfollit de la Roca, the Llierca bridge, Sales de Llierca and Argelaguer.
An intimate route to connect with nature.
Although some structures from the 11th century do still stand, most of the surviving medieval buildings in La Garrotxa date from the 12th and 13th centuries.
Itinerary that takes us to the Romanesque church of Santa Margarida de Bianya, leaving from the small hamlet of Hostalnou de Bianya. Along the hike there are wonderful views of the Bianya valley.
The route will take us along the watershed between the river basins Fluvià and Brugent, tributaries of the river Ter, and will take us to one of the great viewpoints of the Natural Park: the castle of Colltort.
Upstream of Les Planes d'Hostoles, the river Brugent leaves, as it passes through Sant Feliu de Pallerols, a series of bathing pools, all of them located a few meters from the Carrilet greenway.
This GR crosses the whole Iberian Peninsula along the southern flanks of the Pyrenees and Cantabrian mountains. It runs from Empuries in the east to Finisterre in the west, passing through the Catalan pre-Pyrenees from the Costa Brava to Aragon.
