This Wednesday, October 27, the fourth edition of the Jornada Garrotxa, a socially responsible territory, was held at the Les Cols Restaurant in Olot, with the aim of recognizing the work of Garrotxa companies in different areas related to social responsibility. business, that is, following responsible management actions related to the environment, people or language, among others. The event, part of the Garrotxa Emprèn program, recognized the work of 28 companies in the area, which have accredited their commitment to business social improvement.

After last year the celebration of the Conference had to be suspended due to the restrictions imposed due to the Covid-19 pandemic, the face-to-face celebration was possible in this edition of 2021, and was attended by of the entrepreneur and leadership expert Albert Bosch, recognized for his great milestones in the world of sport, such as the conquest of Everest, the South Pole or multiple participations in the Dakar race. Bosch spoke to attendees about business resilience and tackling both change and failure from sustainable leadership. The Conference was also the framework for the public presentation of the new regional strategy of the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism 2021-2025, which includes new actions funded by European funds and which have had the design and support of all sectors involved.

Finally, the prominence of the Conference has been for the 28 companies that have received accreditation in recognition of their responsible management and have participated in various initiatives such as the European Charter for Sustainable Tourism, Linguistically Responsible Companies and Sustainability Reports according to the methodology of the Code of Sustainable Management of La Garrotxa and Collsacabra. These accreditations recognize the work of companies in different areas of business improvement and are renewed according to the degree of achievement of the new objectives set in each of the accreditation procedures.

Different bodies and entities have taken part in the delivery and presentation of these awards, such as the Advisory Council for the Sustainable Development of Catalonia (CADS), the Department of Language Policy, the City Council's Department of Business, Trade and Tourism. d'Olot, Turisme Garrotxa or the Consell Comarcal de la Garrotxa.

The day has been organized by the Agència DinàmiG, the City Council of Olot and the County Council of La Garrotxa, with the support of the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa, Turisme Garrotxa and the Catalan Service of Olot- la Garrotxa of the Consortium for Linguistic Normalization.
