The next 28, 29 and 30 May will celebrate the third edition of the Garrotxa Volcanic Walking, the hiking festival in La Garrotxa, with 18 different activities to discover the natural and cultural heritage of the region, with the help of local guides, good connoisseurs of our territory.

Turisme Garrotxa and the Xinerxa de Senders Itinerànnia are organizing the festival for the third year in a row, as part of the Pyrenees Hiking Festivals, coordinated by IDAPA (High Pyrenees and Aran Development Institute) and with the support of the tourism brand Pyrenees, the Ara Lleida Tourism Board and the Costa Brava Girona Tourism Board.

The purpose of the hiking festivals is to promote hiking as a healthy and sustainable leisure activity and offer a program of guided routes on foot, to different places in the territory and for all audiences. The prices are lower than usual and are an excellent opportunity to discover a more real, authentic and unknown face from different corners of the Pyrenees.

This third edition, the festival offers 18 hiking activities for 3 days. Activities that combine architecture, cuisine and landscape, quiet walks through the Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone, more demanding routes through the rugged terrain of Alta Garrotxa. Ascents to emblematic peaks, routes through caves and gorges, and more leisurely and relaxing activities that will allow the visitor and the Garrotxa resident to connect with nature and the landscape of the region.

Among the guided activities, you can enjoy the sunsets from the top of the Puigsacalm and from the Canadell tower, itineraries between lava flows, literary routes, canyoning, orienteering circuits, night visits, with panoramic views or more refreshing for gorges.

All outings will be gifted with the hiker's kit, and will include a tasting of local products offered by the various municipalities.

For the second year in a row, La Garrotxa will offer the possibility of buying different visits with accommodation, ski passes that will allow you to enjoy the whole weekend of the region. An initiative that encourages the extension of the stay of visitors from outside the region.
