The small town of Castellfollit de la Roca rises up on a spectacular basalt crag, 50 metres high and nearly a kilometre long that has been shaped by the river Fluvià.

The village's narrow alleys lead to the old church of Sant Salvador, on the edge of the cliff, where there is a viewpoint with wonderful views.

Castellfollit de la Roca is one of the gateways to La Garrotxa Volcanic Zone Natural Park.

The old quarter of Castellfollit de la Roca is perched high up on a basalt cliff formed by the superimposition of two lava flows. The route begins in Plaça Catalunya and heads along narrow streets into the old town. As you drop down to the bridge over the river Fluvià, from where there is a spectacular view of the basaltic cliff, your route coincides with the Via Annia, a Roman road.

Braille signage from different points of tourist interest that make up the circular route that allows you to walk the streets of the old town to reach the viewpoints of the basaltic wall and visit the old church.
