Can Salgueda stands against the town walls, in the oldest quarters of the V! ila Vella or Old Town, close to the Portal del Mar or Sea Gate. It is one of the houses that the well-known Catalan writer Josep Pla describes as 'a cluster of bleak stones surrounding the castle and the church as a herd of black sheep around the shepherd'.
Can Salgueda was refurbished in 2002 maintaining the unique aesthetic context of the Old Town of Santa Pau (declared Monument of Artistic and Historical value) and, meanwhile, giving it the comfort and pleasantness necessary for a peaceful holiday or a work in a quiet environment.
Can Salgueda offers two independent apartments, named after their disposition 'Serra de Finestres' and 'Volcà de Santa Margarida'.
Both apartments consist of a living/dining room, a double bedroom, a bathroom and a spare room ideal for kids. The sofa in the living room can be converted into a double bed.
Both apartments are fully equipped. There is tableware for eight, in case guests might entertain during their stay.
The house offers the following common services:
- Basement with laundry, drying and ironing facilities.
- Private garden of 2000 square metres where guests can enjoy the peacefulness of Santa Pau. Access from basement.
Pets allowed.
Pedestrian zone: Cars should be left at 100 m of the house.
Open the whole year.
