The Autumn Fair returns to the city center on October 14 and 15. Livestock, drawing and vehicles will be the pillars of the fair with the most history in Olot, to which sustainability is added as a backbone

The Sant Lluc Fair 2023 will take place on October 14 and 15 and will maintain activity in the city center with 13 spaces and more than 80 planned activities. Once again, the Livestock Fair, the extraordinary clothing market and the Drawing Fair will be held at the weekend and in the city center. The Livestock Fair, which dates back to 1315, can be visited on October 14 and 15 at the Little Fair. About thirty corrals of cattle, sheep, goats, horses and poultry will be on display, while it will be possible to buy the derived product (cheese, meat, sausages, eggs...) directly from the farmers, located in 12 wooden huts in fair In addition, this year there will be a representation of cows of the Limousin breed as a guest.

On Saturday, October 14, the extraordinary clothing market will take place in Plaça Balmes and adjacent streets with more than seventy stalls of clothing and accessories, as well as in Plaça de Josep Clarà the 68th edition of the Fira del Dibuix will be held where the painters will exhibit and sell their drawings throughout the day. The Board of Trustees of the Olot Drawing Fair, the organizing body of the Drawing Fair, also organizes artistic activities aimed at all ages that will take place on Saturday as part of the Olot Drawing Fair.

After last year's good reception, in Plaça de l'U d'Octubre you can enjoy La grangeta del gall Zoti, an educational workshop for boys and girls aged 6 to 10 that brings them closer to the beginning of welfare and animal care through various fun activities. It is an activity organized by Zoetis Manufacturing & Research Spain that will take place throughout the weekend and that will be accompanied by the photo exhibition Transhumancia by Oriol Clavera with the aim of appealing to the origins of the Fair and recognizing the work of shepherds, cowboys and eugassers, defending their activity to have a more livable, sustainable and living world.

For children, in addition to the Zoti rooster farm, in Plaça Major and during the weekend there will be the Tastajocs space to play, enjoy and experiment with family with modern board games, construction and ingenuity. In addition and as a novelty, you can participate in an escape room in the street to open the treasure chest of Sant Lluc in Plaça del Carme. This is a free activity designed to be done with family or friends and for which advance booking must be made through Entrapolis. Continuing with the family programme, on the afternoon of Saturday 14 October in Plaça Campdenmàs the Pig and the Lamb dance will take place, an element of the farandula closely linked to the livestock of the region. Throughout the weekend you can also enjoy children's attractions on Paseo de la Muralla and pony and donkey rides in Plaça Clarà.

In the Plaça de Josep Clarà where on Saturday 14th there will be the Drawing Fair, during the morning of Sunday 15th October there will be a meeting of 100 punters organized by Òmnium Garrotxa. At 10 a.m. on the same Sunday you can enjoy the meeting of old tractors and tractor rides organized by the Motor Antic Garrotxa (MAG) that will leave the Firalet, while Plaça Campdenmàs will host throughout Sunday, the 3rd bike party organized by the bicitrial school in Olot with the collaboration of Peu a Baix, a bicycle party where you can try the trial discipline for free and there will be a show by the world medalist, Martí Vayreda.

As for the rest of the spaces, throughout the weekend and for the most gourmets in the house, you can taste farmer's products in the Tasting Room, located at the top of the Fair, while discovering prize-cured sausages, the Limousin beef, farmer's sausages or artisan ham from La Garrotxa, among others.

In parallel, the Used Vehicle Fair is held, which is in its 13th edition with a garden machinery company and 9 concessionaires from the region that will exhibit more than a hundred vehicles at the Fair; the craft market located at the Fair with about sixty food and non-food stalls and the La Iera creators' market with 12 artisans from the region located in Sant Esteve. On Saturday 14 October, around the market square, there will be the market for collectibles and andrómines and the Fira del disc, while at 5 pm in Sant Esteve the castellera day of the Xerrics d'Olot will take place.

As a novelty, GarrotxaDomus participates in the Fair throughout the weekend by organizing an energy efficiency and renewable energy space in Plaça del Mig. It is an informative space of the GarrotxaDomus program with professional exhibitors from the energy sector, talks by experts and renewable energy workshops for the little ones. In the framework of the backbone of the support bility, it should be noted that the Sant Lluc Fair is part of the Bio Week for organic food with the aim of promoting and making known organic production and food to the entire population, as well as being organized taking into account the Sustainable Development Goals (ODS) to make it increasingly sustainable.

Finally and throughout the weekend, there will be activities in the Crater Space, free entry to the city's museums and shops will also open their doors on Sunday 15 October. At the same time, on Sunday 1 October, the II Inclusive Race has also been scheduled in Olot as part of the Popular Race of Sant Lluc that is organized every year. With distances of 20, 50 and 100 meters, it is designed taking into account the needs of different groups and without architectural barriers. As always, the usual 5 and 10 kilometer races have also been planned as well as the children's race. Registrations can now be made on the race website.

The Sant Lluc Fair is organized by the city promotion area of the Olot City Council with the collaboration of around sixty organizations and companies in the region, as well as with the support of the County Council of Girona and Agbar.
