Historic centre of Santa Pau

A walk through the old quarter of Santa Pau allows visitors the chance to see a number of splendid views eastwards down the Ser; on a clear day from the Portal del Mar you can see the sea at Roses.

Porticoed square (Firal dels Bous), which once provided shelter for the market awarded to the town in 1297.

Gothic church of Santa Maria with a single nave. Viewpoint down the Ser valley.

Access: Located 9 km from Olot, there is car park on the left (coming from Olot) at the entrance to the village.

To improve accessibility in the old town, two new ramps and a new section of railing have been installed in the alleys that are arranged around the castle and the porticoed square, to facilitate access to pedestrians with reduced mobility.
