This 20-km route is designed to be done in two stages. There are two starting points, one in the town of Castellfollit de la Roca and one in Sant Joan les Fonts.
This walk takes you through an area full of natural springs where local people once went to relax, above all in summer.
The intense summer heat is an incentive to search for places to cool off, places where you can rest and at the same time get to know some of the other delights of La Garrotxa.
From the Pyrenees to the sea
Orchids, rare plants, birds, amphibians, butterf lies, dragonf lies, traces of animals, volcanoes, lava flows and some unique geological phenomenon are some examples of what we’ll see during five intensive days of real wild nature.
Natural picture perfect landscape in La Garrotxa Natural Park. Art and walk tours.
Live the experience of making fresh cow’s cheese, enjoy a walk tour at night through “La Fageda d’en Jordà” beech forest, ride a horse in the Volcanic Zone Natural Park, visit a landscape painter’s work studio and paint in the countryside.
Where nature and culture come together
The best way to discover a territory is through its history and its landscapes by walking the old trails. We’ll follow the Annia trail, the best preserved roman road in all the Iberian Peninsula, and the medieval trails that still link villages.
