anta Pau Castle stands in the middle of the village of Santa Pau, which was once enclosed by a series of walls and fortifications. In the fifteenth century, a ‘new’ quarter was built at the entrance to the gate that provides access to the arched squares.
This route will take us through a mosaic of landscapes formed by fields and holm oak forests, in Sant Ferriol, right next to Besalú.
This is a flat walk that will take you to the ruins of the old castle and the church of Sant Martí in the hamlet of Dosquers. Also highly recommendable by bike.
Long itinerary to El Far, one of the most important viewpoints of La Garrotxa, which, despite the great unevenness, is done smoothly and without much effort.
On clear days on certain stretches of this walk you can look eastwards and enjoy the views that extend right across the Empordà plain as far as the Mediterranean Sea.
Santa Bàrbara lies in the heart of L'Alta Garrotxa and affords memorable views over the Oix valley and the mountains of Bassegoda and El Ferran.The church dates from the twelfth or early thirteenth century, although it is likely that a primitive church.
Itinerary that brings us to the zone of la Vall del Bac and Alta Garrotxa (Garrotxan Highlands), where we come across sites of great natural interest and wonderful landscapes.
This is a very long circular route that allows you to reach La Miana and return via a different path. If we want to do shorter sections to Sagrat Cor, Sant Silvestre el Mor, Sant Fructós, etc... you can do a round trip route.
