Inclusive tourism

In La Garrotxa there is a wide range of inclusive activities: routes, accommodation, restaurants...

The following are the places in the Garrotxa most prepared to be visited by people with some type of conditioning in terms of their physical condition:

Fageda d'en Jordà: The Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa gives authorization to access the Fageda with a vehicle with prior accreditation of the degree of disability. Authorizations must be requested in advance by sending an email to [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance.

Montsacopa Volcano: People with mobility difficulties who need to access the Montsacopa volcano by vehicle must request authorization sending an "instància genèrica" to Olot City Council two or more days in advance. More information: 972 26 01 41 (Tourist Office of Olot).

Croscat Volcano: The Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa gives authorization to access by vehicle to the volcano viewpoint, with prior accreditation of the degree of disability. Authorizations must be requested in advance by sending an email to [email protected] at least 24 hours in advance.

Molino Fondo- Boscarró (Sant Joan les Fonts): The route consists of a set of didactic panels and various support materials for people with some visual dysfunction.

Castellfollit de la Roca: Braille signage from different points of tourist interest that make up the circular route that allows you to walk the streets of the old town to reach the viewpoints of the basaltic wall and visit the old church.

Medieval town of Santa Pau: To improve accessibility in the old town, two new ramps and a new section of railing have been installed in the alleys that are arranged around the castle and the porticoed square, to facilitate access to pedestrians with reduced mobility.

Medieval town of Besalú: The tourist office has audio-guides with audio description for people with visual difficulties. It also warns of possible obstacles that may be encountered during the tour.

Joëlette one-wheeled wheelchair routes: The Natural Park of the Volcanic Zone of La Garrotxa has a Joëlette chair so that all those with reduced mobility can enjoy hiking activities or access areas with more inaccessible and irregular terrain. The chair can be driven by the guides of these companies, as they have the necessary training.
