Fifteen restaurants will participate in the 35th edition of the Gastronomic Show of the Garrotxa, which will be presented at a tasting session on October 23rd, and will be extended until November 24th.
The Gastronòmica Show of the Garrotxa is the showcase of the gastronomic heritage of the region. Its main objective is to promote the territory through the local product, its proximity, and its producer, with a cuisine that combines the tradition and history of all these years, with current culinary trends.
The start of the 35th Mostra will be given to the tasting session of the Mostra, to be held on Wednesday 23 October at the Banquets Hall The Tower of the Tilers, of the Plans of Hostoles, and will have a representation from restaurant chefs from the Association of Hostelry, from restaurants of the Volcanic Kitchen group, and also the restaurant Les Cols d'Olot, with two Michelin Stars.
During the tasting dinner, each participating restaurant will prepare one of the dinner dishes. The meal will consist of a varied appetizer, a main course, desserts and accompaniments. Everything, married with wines from Celler Empordàlia, and cava from the Freixenet cellars. Additionally, the dinner will end with a Gin tonic of Gin Volcànic and Jodphur.
During the course of the dinner, the Volcanets d'Or and Argent will be given, recognitions granted by the guild to those companies, associations or estates that work for the promotion of the territory. A tribute will also be made to a family in the hospitality world.
From next day, until November 24th, you can sample the menus of the Mostra in the fifteen participating restaurants. Menus that include the dinner dish, which can be consulted in the published brochure of the Mostra and on the website of the Association of Lodging of the Garrotxa.
