Once again, Olot welcomes spring with the traditional multi-sector fair that will take place next Wednesday, May 1, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m., in the center of the city.

This year, with the intention of expanding the offer and giving more uniqueness to certain spaces of the fair, a series of modifications have been planned in the location of the exhibitors. In this sense, the 42nd car market will be located at the Firalet with around seventy new and used vehicles throughout the day (from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m.). This year, in this space, a draw has been planned for a year of free parking in the blue zone of Olot among the buyers of a vehicle at the concessionaires present at the Fair. In addition, at the end of the walk, the Blood and Tissue Bank will install the blood donation bus where you can donate blood from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Next to the Firalet, occupying Plaça Balmes and the adjacent streets, there will be the extraordinary clothing and accessories market with almost 70 stalls from 9am to 8pm. On the other side and also in a new location, at the Petit Fair we will find the 20th exhibition of the History of the Motor in La Garrotxa with a monograph on the 50th anniversary of the Volkswagen Golf from 10 am to 7 pm, organized by the Club Motor Antic Garrotxa (MAG). The traditional food stalls, flowers and plants will accompany this exhibition from 9am to 2pm.

Then, throughout the day, the Fair will host the craft market with 36 stalls of handmade products, both food (sausages, cakes, cheeses, ...) as well as jewelry and bijouterie, textiles, leather accessories, crocheted items , stationery, candles... as well as a commercial space and garden machinery with the participation of 11 companies from the region. As a new location, the 29th Bonsai and Suiseki Show organized by the Garrotxina Amics del Bonsai Association will be located on the second floor of the Casino from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m.

Then, in Plaça Esteve Ferrer, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. there will be the Katakrak company with kadires in verse, a simple and enriching game to try to reproduce the chosen verse or make a new one from the same words, while that at 12 o'clock you can participate in a castle workshop organized by the castle group the Xerrics of Olot.

As is tradition, in Plaça de l'Hospital from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. you can visit the collectibles and andromine market, while the record fair will move under the vaults of Plaça Josep Clarà from 9 a.m. to 7 p.m. of Wednesday May 1. At the same time, in the middle of Plaça Clarà, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m., donkey and pony rides will be available.

At the same time, in the areas of La Moixina, the 11th La Moixina race organized by Linkinesis and Faràndula Ràcing Team will be held, while from 9 a.m. in the Cultural House of Andalusia de la Garrotxa, a regional competition of birdsong organized by Amics ocellaires de la Garrotxa.

Taking into account the success of the previous year, this year in the Plaça Major there will be games and a proposal to win prizes with the Garrotxa Approp. From 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m., you can roll the Garrotxa Approp dice and test your knowledge of the region's local consumption app: 25 euros will be drawn every half hour to be able to spend through the application. In addition, there will be Andròmina, a space where playing becomes learning, motivation becomes ideas, projects become constructions and the participants will be the main protagonists.
